Sportaza Bonus Wagering: How to Calculate It Before Accepting

The value of a bonus is not the amount written in the banner, but what is left after the wagering requirement has been met. This guide shows how to do the sums using the numbers from Sportaza's promotions.

Sportaza welcome bonus: offer for casino and sports betting
Last updated: 25 October 2026Last data check: 8 October 2026Bonuses, limits and terms can change: always check the terms on the official website.

This guide does not list the promotions (you will find them, with all the verified terms, on the Sportaza Bonuses page): it explains how to turn the terms into numbers, so you can decide whether a bonus is worth taking. The examples use the values reported by Wizard of Odds and VIP-Grinders, because the operator does not publish all the requirements in an accessible form.

The four variables that decide the value of a bonus

Wagering requirement variables
VariableWhat it meansSportaza casino bonus
Requirement baseThe amount it is calculated on: the bonus only, or deposit + bonusDeposit + bonus
MultiplierHow many times the base must be wagered35x
Game contributionWhat percentage of each stake counts towards the requirementSlots 100%, table games 10%
LimitsMaximum stake, expiry, maximum convertible winMaximum stake €5; expiry and maximum win not published

The formula

Wagering needed = (deposit + bonus) × multiplier ÷ game contribution

With a requirement on the bonus alone, the formula becomes: bonus × multiplier ÷ contribution. The difference is huge: for the same multiplier, a requirement on deposit plus bonus doubles the wagering needed when the bonus is 100%.

Casino bonus examples

100% casino bonus with a 35x requirement on deposit + bonus
DepositBonusWagering on slots (100%)Wagering on table games (10%)Expected loss on slots at 96% RTP
€20€20€1,400€14,000about €56
€100€100€7,000€70,000about €280
€250€250€17,500€175,000about €700
€500€500€35,000€350,000about €1,400

How to read the last column. The expected loss is the amount wagered multiplied by the house edge (100% − RTP). With a 96% RTP the house keeps on average 4% of what is staked: on €7,000 that is €280. It is an average over many sessions, not a forecast for a single session: some players will complete the requirement in profit, many will run out of balance first.

Comparing it with the bonus received shows whether the bonus has a positive or negative value on average. In the €100 example, the bonus is worth €100 and the expected loss to unlock it is €280: the expected value of the operation (bonus minus expected loss) is about −€180. The bonus is only worth it for someone who would have wagered that volume on slots anyway: for them it is worth the €100 received, net of the limits on maximum stake and withdrawal. With higher-RTP slots (97–98%) the expected loss falls to €140–210, but it remains higher than the bonus.

What about the 200 free spins?

The spins add value, but every win from the spins becomes bonus balance with its own requirement (40x on the winnings according to VIP-Grinders, to be completed within 10 days). With a typical value per spin of €0.10–0.20, 200 spins are equivalent to €20–40 of stakes, and the average winnings remain of the same order of magnitude before the requirement.

How long it takes

The volume translates into playing time. With €1 stakes and a spin roughly every 4 seconds, €7,000 of wagering corresponds to about 7,000 spins, nearly 8 hours of continuous play. With €2 stakes the time is halved, but the swings in your balance increase; above €5 a spin you breach the maximum stake. If the bonus has a short expiry, completing the requirement may be impossible without playing more than you would have wanted.

The sports bonus: same method, different variables

For betting, the requirement is expressed as a rollover (how many times to wager the bonus, or the sum of deposit and bonus) with a minimum odds figure for each bet. Sportaza does not publish the terms of the sports welcome bonus; VIP-Grinders reports a first 1x rollover at odds of 1.50 and then a 6x rollover within 30 days, with minimum odds of 2.00 on singles and 1.50 per selection in accumulators. We use these values as an example, not as confirmed data:

Example: €100 sports bonus with a 6x rollover (third-party values)
ItemValue
Rollover€100 × 6 = €600 of qualifying stakes
Minimum odds2.00 on singles
Average bookmaker margin at odds of 2.00assumed 5–7%
Expected loss on the volumeabout €30–42
Indicative expected valuepositive, if the real terms match these

With requirements of this kind a sports bonus can have a positive expected value, unlike the casino bonus. The problem is that at Sportaza the terms are not published and the third-party sources do not agree (SportsBoom reports a 5x with a minimum deposit of $30). Without written confirmation from the operator, the calculation remains an assumption.

The rules that void the bonus

  • Maximum stake: €5 with a casino bonus active, purchases of bonus features included.
  • Excluded or reduced games: table games at 10%; some titles may be excluded altogether.
  • Low-risk play: covering almost all outcomes on roulette or betting on opposite outcomes can lead to winnings being forfeited (Casino.guru).
  • Bonus hunting: drastically varying stakes to exploit the bonus is regarded as a breach of the terms (Casino.guru).
  • Withdrawal after completion: winnings should be withdrawn immediately after completing the requirement; continuing to play can lead to later winnings being limited (Casino.guru).
  • Bonus queue: with a bonus active, the next one stays on hold (official website).

Checklist: accept or decline?

It makes sense to accept if

  • you play slots anyway and the required volume fits your habits
  • you know the expiry and can complete the requirement without raising your stakes
  • your stakes stay below the maximum stake
  • you have the terms confirmed in writing

Better to decline if

  • you want to be able to withdraw at any time
  • you mostly play table or live games
  • the bonus pushes you to deposit more than you had decided
  • you cannot get the full terms

Frequently asked questions

How is the wagering on Sportaza's casino bonus calculated?

You multiply the sum of deposit and bonus by 35 (the value reported by Wizard of Odds) and divide by the game's contribution. With €100 deposited and a €100 bonus, you need €7,000 of wagering on slots or €70,000 on table games.

Is the casino welcome bonus worth it?

On average no, if measured in expected value: with a 35x requirement on deposit plus bonus and slots at 96% RTP, the expected loss to unlock it exceeds the amount of the bonus. It can make sense for someone who plays that volume on slots anyway and accepts the restrictions.

What happens if I do not complete the requirement in time?

On expiry, the bonus balance and the related winnings are cancelled. The expiry of the casino welcome bonus is not published in an accessible form: ask support before accepting.

Can I give up the bonus after accepting it?

Generally yes, from the account or through support. Giving it up cancels the bonus and the winnings obtained with it, but frees the remaining real balance.
